Happy Trails Books Cox TicketFive year old gelding Happy Trails has gained automatic entry into the Cox Plate next month after an exciting victory in the Group 2 Dato Tan Chin Name Stakes at Moonee Valley on Saturday. Happy Trails sat just off the speed before jockey Glen Boss took him to the front rounding the final turn. Favourite Green Moon made up plenty of ground in the straight, but fell just short, losing by the narrowest of margins. Golden Quinella for SnowdenTrainer Peter Snowden couldn't have asked for a more perfect finish in the $1 million Golden Rose on Saturday at Rosehill with his pair of 3 year old stars running the quinella. Epaulette gave Snowden his third Golden Rose win and jockey Tommy Berry his first Group 1 victory, as he stormed down the outside to mow down the front runners and narrowly nose out stablemate Albrecht at the finishing post. |
